TSO C173 Approvals on 8 Concorde Turbine Engine Starting Batteries

These newly authorized RG batteries are recombinant gas (RGŪ Series) VRLA-AGM high rate turbine starting batteries and can also be used for emergency / standby applications.

TSO Authorization means the battery is qualified as an airworthy component. It can be installed in any aircraft by showing that the requirements (certification basis) of the particular aircraft model are met by the TSO battery. This is an advantage to end users who can install an airworthy part without the need of a PMA specifying their aircraft model number. Airframe manufacturers seeking Type Certification and STC applicants will save time and certification costs by selecting a battery that has already met FAA TSO-C173, which incorporates RTCA/DO-293 requirements.

NEW Turbine Engine Starting Aircraft Battery

Using the original Concorde Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) design adopted and in use by the Military today, aircraft battery RG-322 is a powerful all new form, fit and function design delivering superior starting and emergency power.

Concorde VRLA-AGM batteries are the economical solution; lower initial cost and less maintenance equals a lower cost per flight hour. Individually tested at the factory and shipped charged, improving aircraft readiness.

RGŪ Series batteries are non-spillable and less expensive to transport; shipping Hazmat EXEMPT via land, sea or air.
